shine292 Posted September 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2004 We were trapped by Ivan, the hurricane, in Jamaica and decided that having to wait another three days before we could depart the country , we would take a tour to see the ravishes of the hurricane. Through cruise critic, Trevor Hudlin came highly recommended. The tour began with our destination being Negril in the parish of Westmoreland. We were able to see some of the hot spots. It was fascinating to see, what the waves did to some of the rocks that were used for entertainment by rock climbers who would show of their diving skills by jumping from the rocks into the sea . We visited the gate of West End, otherwise called Negril point. This gate is the most westerly point of the island that one can go. It was interesting to see one of the most beautiful caves of the island. Within this cave was a pub and also steps leading onto the beach. While having a drink you could be paddling in the water as the waves came in. In such an adverse situation, Trevor made it a memorable and enjoyable one for us. We will not forget his kindness and the way he made us forget the impact of hurricane Ivan. Great Tour Operator.
shine292 Posted October 16, 2004 Author #2 Share Posted October 16, 2004 I would like to add, that, on our way back from Negril, Trevor stopped at one of the local merchants, and allowed us the opportunity to purchase "monkey ripe bananas" These tasted very good. Really cool tour guide. hyperose Posted October 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2004 I just had a tour with Trevor on 10/6 out of MoBay. You cannot ask for a more wonderful and kind tour guide. A tour with him is special which you will not get on any large tour.
