Day passes in Ocho Rios

We will be in Ocho Rios in April (Celebirty Infinity) and plan to buy a day pass for a nice resort. Our first choice was Couples - they are closed from April to December!

Now I have two questions:

 

What other resort with a nice, clean beach would you recommend for a day pass in Ocho Rios?

 

Can you buy the passes at the pier or just take a cab to the resort and buy the pass there?
