Funship Dollars on Legend

Has anyone recently (within the past three months) redeemed their Funship Dollar certificates at the Purser's desk for the OBC vs mailing them in like you're supposed to?

 

I've read conflicting reports that on some ships you can do this and others you can't. I'm wondering if this can be done on the Legend.

The policy states mail them in but nearly everyone presents them at the Purser's Desk and the credit is directly applied to your Sail and Sign account...

There shouldn't be any variance ship to ship... after all, it's still money!

We were able to just hand them over to the pursers desk on the Miracle last month

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that would be the case. We can save the cost of regsitered mail then. ;)
