Going to St Maarten for the third time (first time I had to stay on board....(burnt/swolen ankles))

 

Last time we went to Orient on our own...LOVED IT!!

 

I still have a desire to catch Maho(?) the airport beach but want to go to Orient again.

 

Is it possible to do both on our own? I've read where the airport is good around noon (as far as plane arrivals) and there is a good bar/restaurant. Anyone agree? I don't want to go to Maho and be disappointed and regret not making it back to Orient.

 

Any comments?
