DarthGrady Posted February 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2008 The wife-to-be is going on Inspiration with her friend for a bachelorette cruise. So I am contemplating a solo cruise on Holiday as a pre-wedding gift to myself sometime early next year. To keep costs down, I will probably book a 1A. Since I think all 1As are the same price, can anyone tell me if the 1As aft on Upper deck are ocean view? They appear to up against the back of the ship like an OV would be, but I want to be sure. Having never been on a Holiday class ship, I would appreciate any info. The back up plan is to book one of the 1A porthole rooms, but obviously I would prefer a window. ala-kat Posted February 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2008 The Carnival brochure lists 1a as an inside probably up against a bulkhead. The Holiday does have 1As - not sure if they are portholes or windows. M5 is one. There are only a handful. Cotton or Luckycrzr (sp?) could probably give you a more complete answer. Looked at the deck plans on Carnival, and see the cabins you are referring to. Good question. They do appear to be 1As, but do not have the symbol for portholes. Hmmmm. I'd like to know the answer to this as well.
VentureMan_2000 Posted February 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Gosh... maybe it it would be worth it to invite a friend and ask him to pay the difference between a 1A and 2-passenger room if you can't find a friend to pay the whole difference. It's always fun to have a friend along... and if need be, your friend will only pay half price since a 1A is the price of 1.5 passengers... Best of luck. :)
