Any recommendations for a scuba tour and dive operator in Cozumel?

lots of people have said lots of good things about eagle ray diving on the boards. we are booked with dive with martin for a private dive for three of us in November, and can hardly wait.you might want to ask your question at the scuba and snorkeling string.

In March I went with Blue XT Sea and recommend them. Excellent customer service, small fast boat, lots of extras included.

There are lots of threads about Cozumel on the scuba and snorkeling page that I found invaluable in making my choice. We are booked for our January stop with Eagle Ray Divers - I am already impressed with their service and have heard good things.

Aldora Divers (www.aldora.com) is what we use...they have an arrangement available for cruisers as well....

 

they're a good bunch of people...pros....and use nice, big steel tanks, which means long bottom time...our best dives are like 80 minutes long or so...:)

As you can see, there are many good dive shops in Cozumel. There are so many dive shops on the island. I once heard 200 different operators. That could be an exaggeration. And there are probably 10-12 shops that are recommended over and over again.

 

For us, we chose Eagle Ray Divers about 6 years ago. We love the owners, Chellie and Antonio, and have always felt well taken care of and safe with them. They also have great divemasters on staff. They take relatively small groups out, no more than 12 and usually 8 or less so the personal attention is great. Their boats are refurbished historic Cozumeleno fishing boats that provide are relaxing day at sea. And, if you tell Chellie what you're looking for in your dive trip, she'll do what she can to accommodate your request.

As I mentioned, there are some wonderful shops on the island so I'm sure no matter which you choose you'll have a great time. Diving in Cozumel is amazing!!!!

My wife and I only dive with Deep Blue (http://www.deepbluecozumel.com). We have never ahd a bad experience and others we recommend also love them!
