Best place to snorkel from the beach???

I have enjoyed this forum and I am wondering if anyone can give a suggestion as to the best place to snorkel at Grand Turk - from the beach. DH and I are both good swimmers but I don't want to go out too far. We are looking at Bohio Dive resort but wonder if the snorkeling is only good for those who take a boat excursion.

 

Any suggestions of other locations also appreciated.

we snorkled from bohio last week, it was great. it took a ittle while to find a reef, but that's half the fun. i found a great spot about 50 yards down the beach, back towards the cruise pier direction, and it was probably 50-60 yards off shore. i could have spent days out there searching for stuff. i'll try to load a couple pics so you can get an idea of what we saw, otherwise click on my link and go to the snorkel folder, i have three pics in there from Bohio.

Newt - What kind of camera did you use to get those shots?

Also how far out did you have to go to find the reef/fish? Is it deep?
