amcess721 Posted February 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2008 Which would be a better fit? We plan to cruise Jan 09 and our little ones (two couples, we each have a kid) will be 15months and 22months. We can either do a 10night NCL or a 9night RCCL... I was looking up and we really like the ports that the NCL stops at but we like the fact that RCCL offers in cabin baby sitting...so we could get a few hours kid-less here and there... Any ideas which one would be a better fit for us? (This will be the first cruise for all of us!):D
crusinmama06 Posted February 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2008 There are positives to both when the kids are this age. NCL is freestyle cruising so you can eat when you and the kids want. You won't have to book one of two seatings in the dining room like you would on RCCL. RCCL does have the in cabin sitting at night for children over 1. So that would be a nice option. Which ships are they?
amcess721 Posted February 23, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Norwegian Gem or Explorer of the Seas... We went with NCL :) We really liked that the ship is new and the freestyle dining was a big plus. We also liked the ports better for NCL than the RC one..We're really not "night life" people, so not having the in cabin baby sitting hopefully won't be a total bummer.
