PORT SAID to SAINT CATHERINE'S MONASTERY (MT. SINAI)

I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me some information as to whether or not it is reasonable to travel from Port Said to St. Catherine's Monastery at Mt. Sinai and back in one day. By looking at various maps it seems too far a journey for one day, but I'd like to be absolutely certain before I abort the idea b/c I don't know when/if we will ever return to Egypt as a family.

 

I've searched all the various forums and Googled every combination of words possible but have been unsuccessful, and I've e-mailed Nile Blue, De Castro, and Egyptian Express, but have had no reply.

 

Has anyone out there completed this trip? If not, many thanks anyway!
