Air France to Venice

We are on the Splendour of the Seas in November from Venice. We just booked our flights from ORD to Venice with a stopover at CDG. Has anybody taken those flights? I know CDG can be a pain. We got a great deal. We cashed in our NWA miles. As a matter of fact, we are using 75,000 miles each for a RT that includes business class on the KLM return.

What are the flight schedules? I've noticed for other gateways, the cheaper flight's connecting times are dreadful.

We've done the same 2 times. LAX-CDG-VCE We have no complaints with AF at all BUT make sure you have close to 3 hrs to connect!!! It took us 2 hrs last Sept just to find the connecting gate. If we had been delayed we might not have made it. Two years ago we walked from one Terminal to the other in about 15 minutes but not anymore. They are in the middle of major construction to reconfigure the airport...OMG! We ended up having to go thru 3 security check points. Just leave yourself enough time so you're not frazzeled. We found it better to ask people along the way instead of relying on the signs.
