Neuhoftraveler Posted February 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2008 To help us plan our onward travel after debarking from Royal Clipper (in Civitavecchia), we'd appreciate knowing how long the debarkation process from this ship usually takes. Ship is scheduled into port at 7 a.m. Any and all reports of actual experiences would be welcome.
KathyA Posted February 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2008 I'm on the crossing from Barbados to Cittavichia in April. I called Star Clippers and they said that it usually took about 1.5 hours to clear customs, so you could be leaving t he ship by around 8:30. We're having a car meet us at the dock and I've ordered it for 10:00 am. Are you on this crossing too?
clipperskipper Posted March 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2008 Whenever the ship is cleared by the local authorities, you can leave whenever you want until 10:00 am. You get a copy of your onboard account at night under your cabin door. When everything is alright, you just drop your keys and a signed copy of your invoice at the gangway and you are set. It takes you a couple of minutes only. 10:00 am is the latest time to leave because the crew has to prepare the ship for the arriving guests.
