Serenade - partially obstructed junior suite or D1

Hi. First time cruisers here (family of 4)....I am wondering if someone could give me there opinion of which would be better - a partially obstructed junior suite or a cat. D1 - balcony at the front of the ship???? Any opinions would be welcome. Thanks so much
