Firsttimescaredcruiser! Posted February 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Can you snorkel just off where we come in off the tender?? Sorry, don't really know what to call the area. DH wants to snorkel, but not really an organized thing. Someone told him they went to the right after they got off the peir. Does this sound right? How hard is it to pack snorkel stuff... something else I need to buy.

Snorkel2Much Posted February 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2008 There's not really a beach at Eden Rock, although there is a walled off little area where a restaraunt has dumped a few tons of sand & lounge chairs. If you want convenience, walk off the tender and go to your right a few hundred yards. First you'll see the restaraunt, then a bit farther is a Dive shop. Both have snorkel gear rentals at reasonable prices, so if you won't be using it much I'd hold off on buying & carting your own. (Plus theres always the chance the wind will be up and you can't tender in.) If you want to snorkel from a real beach head up to Cemetery Beach, but you'll need your own gear & refreshments. No crowds or vendors there.
