Hi Allen,

 

This is a little Off Topic...

 

Would you mind editing your Signature, and cleaning up the countdown code that you have in there? It was from January 2004. It is apparently using a web site that is not allowed here on Cruise Critic. The forum software is replacing the server name with a bunch of "************" characters, and unfortunately this causes the FireFox browser to crash. Basically, most everyone who reads Cruise Critic with FireFox, will have their browser lock up whenever they read a thread in which you post!

 

This happens from time to time, apparently there is a countdown site that is no longer allowed, and unfortunately the Cruise Critic solution does not play well with FireFox.

Thanks!! Actually not strange at all... the countdown was inside an applet tag, so the browser is trying to interpret the commands inside, but the web address of the server which supported the countdown function was starred out, so the browser is trying to go to a web site that is just all stars, which, granted, is an error condition that FireFox should handle better, but they don't...

 

:) Whew blah blah blah... in the end, thanks for fixing it up, it works fine for me and all the other FireFoxers now!
