Majesty Cabin 604: a review....

Cabin 604 on the Majesty is GREAT! Those class C cabins in that face forward on the Majesty are really great cabins...

The Good:

1) Because the rooms form a semi-circle, they are wider on the wall away from the door than usual. This provides a small, yet very useful extra amount of floor space.

2) In-room refrigerator. We carried two 12-packs of soda on board.. enough said?

3) Wide hallway. No having to squeeze by the cabin stewards.

4) Same deck as the theater and the casino. Just one deck up from Royal Fireworks (many activities here), the lobby, and both dining rooms (pluss Le Bistro) One deck down from the spa and disco. The only time we used the elevator was to leave the ship on port days (deck 2) and to go to the sun deck.

5) Muster station is INSIDE (yea, I know, not a big deal, but it's still a plus)

6) Promenade deck above is gated-off at night.

The Bad:

1) Directly above Royal Fireworks. Music at night is loud, but usuaully over by 12:30

2) Bed can NOT be separated AND is up against one wall so the husband of the couple must crawl into bed from the end of the bed or over his wife.

Would I book this cabin (or one of it's five brothers) again? In a New York minute!

Hi

We are cruising the Majesty in May ...I wondered what events that might require bringing attire are done on the Majesty...seems I read about a sock hop ...that sort of thing ...as a small group of 12 cruising together ..it might be fun to participate ...our first cruise on NCL so need all the help with this sort of thing so our group can have a memorable cruise :)

thanks in advance

I have a couple more things to add:

The wall opposite of the door is slanted a good deal to conform to the contour of the ship. So, the window is slanted (not a big deal) and the curtains are attached to the top and bottom. The real plus of having a wall like this is there is a deep (like two feet) shelf behind the bed under the slanted wall. This prodived about 20 square feet of shelf space that is perfect for shoes, sunglasses, snorkels, you name it. We also lined-up all the towel animals on the shelf.

Also note this cabin has only ONE 110v AC outlet and it is against the desk, so if you have a camera charger or the like that has a polarized plug, there is a 50/50 chance it won't fit if it has a large plug. The solution? bring a small extension cord.
