Gay Beach at Playa del Carmen?

Does anyone know where the gay beach is in Play del Carmen? One of the ship dancers told us he was going there a few cruises back. Thought we might try that out on next cruise.

Playa del Carmen has the region's only gay nude beach in an isolated location; 40 minute walk north of the The Reef Coco Beach. I think you can drive there, but I lost the directions. Warnings: nudity is illegal; police have been known to entrap and shakedown (or, if you don't have enough pesos, a little roughing up and a trip to jail).

Personally, I still haven't gotten there.

Seems if you use some common sense, it should be okay.

 

Just be wary of the "cabana boy" who makes an offer that you find too hard to refuse.....
