To tender or not to tender?

Hi Fellow Cruisers,

 

Can anyone tell me which of the following ports will require a tender or, point me in the direction where I can find this info? If it matters, the ship is Island Princess.

 

Huatulco, Mexico

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Puerto Corinto, Nicaragua

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Colon (Cristobal), Panama

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

I do know that Huatulco, Puntarenas and Colon are docked. the rest I do not know.

Ocho rios is a dock-- but there are two docks there- depending on how many ships are in port if the other dock is used.

I'll fill in the other two for you - just not quite from personal experience! We'll be visiting Puerto Corinto and Puerto Quetzal on our April cruise. Our itinerary does NOT list them as being tender ports, so we assume that we will be docked in both places. We are listed as being tendered in Cabo, Puerto Amador, and Z. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks for that info. That makes me happy as our cabin is one that's positioned right over the lifeboats. I was concerned that we'd be awaken by early preps for getting the boats down for tendering.
