Has anyone ever had this stateroom and how do you think it would work for a 1 parent/1 child combo?

for a 1A check to see if 244 or 2445 is available-- you get two windows and a lot more space in the cabin.

 

the one you are asking about is as forward as you can get-- if you hit rough waters you will feel the motion.

 

Also you will hear the anchor dropping when entering into ports.. how old is your child?

Yeah, those look great but last time I looked they were not available. I'll keep looking, though - that's how I scored my aft balcony.

 

My son is 5, will be 6 in September.

the reason I asked the age-- I wanted to make sure he wasnt young enough where the sound of the anchor would scare him.

It is very loud but only lasts for a few seconds.

Wow, didn't consider that. I'll warn him and hope it doesn't wake us up out of a sound sleep. We wake up pretty early so shouldn't be a problem but - wow.

My son just booked a 1A on the Victory with two big port holes, do you have that?

I just looked and yup, it looks like you have the port holes. Your son will probably love it - it looks like there is a big ledge to sit on and look out the windows.

I saw the pictures someone posted on webshots and signed on for this stateroom based on those.

 

Is that the room your son booked? I'm hoping it's a bit more fun than a regular interior for him.
