Snorkel Excursion without Stingray City?

We have been to Stingray City 3 times, and it is really neat. How old is your daughter? Maybe she could stay on the boat, and watch. We snorkeled away from the stingrays at Coral Reef I believe. The boat ride has magnificent views too.

I've been doing a lot of research and am having trouble finding a snorkeling excursion that doesn't include Stingray City. We'll be visiting for one day on our cruise and my daughter really isn't crazy about doing the stingray thing. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much ~

Nancy

I'd highly recommend doing the Stingray City portion of any excursion...

While the creatures can seem intimidating, they are very interested in human presence, as they've come to associate the humans with free food.

They'll swim around you, and up against you, but not in a menacing way.

Think of them like very affectionate pets...

It's an experience that is really incredible.

As stated by others, if someone really doesn't want to interact with the rays, they can stay on the boat.

I'd do it again in a heart beat...
