If you are looking for something casual .. then The Greenhouse .. it is downtown right on the water. Good food and atmosphere. We go there everytime we are in St. Thomas. It is the only day we eat of the ship if we are on a cruise. Here is there website:

If you liike Italian food, try Virgilios for lunch. It is perpendicular to the main street and the best Italian food I have had in a long time. Also, when you enter you will be amazed at the tremendous amount of artwork displayed, and it's for sale. Cafe Amici is also nice and right off the main street.

Enjoy

ready2sail40, Try Glady's in the allley downtown. The best local food around. DH and I have been to St. Thomas twice now and eaten there both times. She makes a Chicken Roti to die for. It's a casual place and if it's not crazy busy she will belt out blues. Great place.
