GAP Points

Recommended Posts

Anyone familiar with Group Amenity Points? I have a group of 30 booked for the Western Caribbean next year on NOS and our TA told us it's worth 4 GAP points. Apparently there's list of things we could get with these 4 points. He also told us that different itineraries get different points. He thinks the less popular itineraries get more points. Has anyone used GAP points before? What did you get with it?

Ask for shipboard credit. It should be $50 per cabin. Then each cabin can do what they want with it. You should also get 4 berths for free. You would just have to pay port, gov't taxes and fuel surcharge.

It is 1 free berth for each 8 cabins so assuming 2 per room that is only 15 cabins (group of 30) so that would only be 1 free berth based on the largest number of type booked, so if 6 insides and 9 E2 balconies then you would get 1 free fare for one of the E2's, plus taxes and fees

We have 30 people in 12 cabins. Our TA said we would get 1 free berth for every 16 people but mentioned we might be able to use two of our GAP points to buy it down to 1 free berth for every 12 people. At least I think that's what he told me. So, if we used 2 points for that, could we use the remaining two points to buy something for each cabin?

I believe so, that you would still have the two points. Have you gotten any listed from your TA? That would be the best bet as different sailings they do different amounts.

He's going to send me the list. Since our cruise isn't until next spring he said we could make a decision about the points in December. Is that typical or do you usually choose these things up front? This is the first time we've booked a group through a TA.

I am not sure on this so hopefully someone will come along with the correct answer.
