smithcvs Posted February 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2008 We fly from Manchester UK in January 2009 to meet the Artemis for a Panama Canal trip landing in Acapulco. Does the charter flight from Manchester to Acapulco go direct or does it stop off somewhere. Thanks. Gilliano Posted February 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2008 We've cruised the Panama Canal twice and each time, flying from Gatwick have stopped for refuel and change of crew at Dominican Republic. Quite a long journey (15 hours) but worth it in the end. Gill
Petrochelli Posted February 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2008 Hi, We flew from Glasgow to Barbados joined the ship cruised the Caribbean then the canal. Disembarked At Acapulco then the flight to Glasgow, both ways non stop. No matter the travel arrangements the Panama canal transit has been the highlight of our cruising experiencies. We hope to repeat the cruise in the future and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.:) :) :) Cheers Petrochelli.

BrianI Posted March 1, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2008 We flew back from acapulco to manchester with P and O in 2006 we flew without a fuel stop. Flying west is always longer due to the prevailing jetstream and thus there is inevitably a fuel stop somewhere en route to Acapulco.
