Mazatlan port question

What can you expect when you get off your ship into Mazatlan? Is there shopping within walking distance? Things to see within walking distance or is this the type of port where you have to take a short taxi ride to see or do anything?

Mazatlan is a commercial port and you have to take a free shuttle to the terminal area. Once you get there after a 2 minute ride, then you will see little shops selling arts and crafts, tours, jewellery and many other things. There is a little mercado also close by.

That is where you can catch a taxi to go anywhere in Mazatlan. I would suggest the Old Mazatlan. It is one of the most beautiful areas of the city. Close by is downtown. Old Mazatlan is a 10 minute ride by taxi and they charged us around 5 dollars to get there.
