The Twister to Passion Island Excursion...

We are going to Cozumel on the Carnival Legend in June, and this seems to be the ONE excursion that everyone wants to do the most! I have read on some other posts that Carnival is discontinuing excursions to Passion Island...but as of today, the Twister is still available on their site. Does anyone have any insite whether or not this excursion will still be offered through the ship? Is it possible to do this through an independent operator?

 

Our family is not interested in shopping so much...just a beautiful, not too crowded beach with bar & food available - and snorkeling off the beach for the kids. Water sports (jet skiis) would be a plus, but are not mandatory. What would you recommend as an alternative if this excursion is cancelled? We will have 8 hours in port.

If you get cancelled I am sure they will work with you to book you on another excursion, but if none of them interest you then yes, 8 hours in port. I'd recommend the Race Fantastique. It was a blast.

When we were there in December, our tour guide made several references to Carnival owning the rights to Passion Island now. If true, that would be good news for your trip.
