Port Everglades to the Lauderdale airport

We are a family of four going on a cruise out of Port Everglades, when we return from our cruise does anyone know what kind of shuttle service or taxi service we can get from the port to the airport. We will have many bags and very little time to get to the airport. Our flight leaves at 11:15AM. Looking for some help here. Thanks JD

if you are in a hurry then you dont want a shuttle that may make stops to unload pax and luggage before they get to your terminal

suggest that you grab 2 taxis right outside the pier terminal and head for the airport --its very close cant cost more the 10-15 per cab

Don't sign up for the ship's transfers. The buses that go to the airport from the ship have to be completely filled before they leave the pier. Sometimes they fill quickly and other times they don't.

There are very, very few vans at the pier for 4 people. Taxis make up 98% of the transportation. You will need to get 2 cabs since there will be 4 of you and lots of luggage.

We also had 4 going to the airport for an 11:15 flight. When you get off the ship and are looking for your luggage and the porter with the cart comes over asking if you want help, take him up on it, it's worth the tip. He will find your luggage and get you a cab that can accomodate 4 people and luggage. We were in a cab and on our way while everyone on the sidewalk was still looking for a cab.

check out bcsexpress.com. We are going to use him from port everglades to fll in nov. talked with him on the phone and he's very accommodating. Has vans as there are 4 of us as well. $6 per person compared to $12 for HAL's cattle truck. He came recommended in another cruise critic thread somewhere.
