Does anyone know the costs of the packages to get into Playa Mia??

 

I thought I posted this earlier but I cannot find it.

I got this email from Playa Mia last August when requesting pricing....I believe they are still the same prices....but if not they would not be much more. Hope its helpful

At Playa Mia® you can enjoy lots of fun activities, such as, kayaks, paddle boats, water trampoline, parasailing, wave runners, snorkeling and scuba diving, hair braiding, temporary tattoos, rock wall climbing, bungee trampoline, Hobiecats, freshwater swimming pool, floating mats and Aquatic Iceberg, to name a few.

We highly recommend the following tours which are available on board most cruiselines. You may contact the Shore Excursions Department of the cruise ship for purchasing, pricing, availability and description information regarding the following tours:

 

BEACH BREAK - Unlimited domestic open bar (Purified bottled water, assorted soft drinks, draft beer, Tequila, Mezcal, Brandy, Rum, Vodka, Margaritas, Rum Punch, Pina Coladas, Daiquiris in assorted flavors, juice)

 

Also, included are a beach umbrella, sun chair, access to all non-motorized water toys and park facilities. Transportation is not included. Taxis are available from downtown and the piers and should be from $15.00 USD to $20.00 USD one-way for up to 4 persons. We have taxis available at our gate when you are ready to return.

We are in the process of activating the reservations service through our website, however you will be able to make purchases at the gate entrance at this time.

 

Our park hours are from 09:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Saturday. We are open Sunday when a cruise ship is in port.

 

The entrance packages available at this moment at the gate of the park are as follows:

 

- BASIC $ 15.00 USD (tax included)

- FIESTA $ 38.00 USD (tax included)

- PREMIUM $ 49.00 USD (tax included)

 

Prices are for adults and children. Children age 2 and under enter free.

The differences between the packages are listed below:

Basic package: Entrance to park, sun chair, all non-motorized water sports and park facilities.

Fiesta package: Basic + unlimited domestic open bar (draft beer, bottled water, soft drinks, Margaritas, Rum Punch, Piña Coladas, Daiquiris in assorted flavors, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Brandy, Mezcal, fruit juices.)

Minimum age for consumption of alcoholic drinks in the country of Mexico is 18. Identification is required.

Taxis are available from downtown and the piers and should be from $ 15.00 to $ 20.00 USD one way for up to 4 persons. We have taxis available at our gate when you are ready to return. You should allot a minimum of 15 minutes for your return trip to downtown from our park.

 

Credit / debit cards with Visa or Mastercard and American Express, U.S. and Mexican currency and travelers checks are accepted at our entrance and restaurants.

 

A description of each package can be found on our website at www.playamia.com under THE PARK; PACKAGES.

 

Food and drinks are available for purchase seperately if not purchasing an inclusive package. The Mexcan buffet is $15.00 USD per person and is available Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST. Soft drinks & bottled purified water are $ 2.00 USD each. Other food and drinks having varying prices.

 

Life jackets are available near the non-motorized water toys, which are included in your entrance package.

 

BEACH UMBRELLAS are available for rent: $ 5.00 USD refundable deposit required and $ 5.00 USD for daily rental per umbrella.

 

BEACH TOWEL rental is available: $ 5.00 USD refundable deposit required and $ 5.00 USD daily rental fee per towel.

 

LOCKERS are available for daily rental: $ 5.00 USD refundable deposit required and $ 5.00 rental per locker.

 

No reservation required for activities. For a group the minimun is 20 persons.

wow, that's the best info I've seen on Playa Mia. I had looked for prices, but could not find them.

We just returned from a RC ship to Cozumel and Belize. We were one of the first ones to arrive at Playa Mia Beach at about 8:30 in the morning and had our choice of seats. Shade is at a minimum at Playa Mia but we found the staff very friendly and accomodating. They work for tips and were very willing to get us anything we wanted including food. We left our waiter $20 at the end of the day which included our $8 lunch. He kept us hydrated w/ whatever we wanted all day long. Our day was not so crowded but we did have a very loud group of heavily drinking college students plop down near us, the bar was there too, and their choice of drinking songs left a bit to be desired. There is a small pool that you can sit by that has nice lounge chairs and there is some shade near there. Our fee from the ship was $29 per person 2 adults and 2 teens aged 15 and 17. That included all you could drink and no motor sports. My boys had a great time w/others doing beach games w/balloons and dancing on the beach to the Macarena. Beware though there seems to be no drinking age and my 15 yr. old, w/braces, was served a beer. He didin't like it but was able to order it just the same. And, let's just say the 17 yr. old was far enough away, for long enough to have just enough to drink, that he slept the rest of the day/night once we got back on the ship! They had a great time on the iceberg and the trampoline. Both commenting on how difficult it was to get onto the iceberg and that the trampoline was a little challenging. Not for the young (or old) as they will need alot of help getting on to both, just ask my hubby!. Overall, we had a great day and really couldn't complain!

We've been to Playa Mia twice and it is our favorite beach to go to. Lots of things to do. The beach chairs are a little awkward at first but you get used to them real quickly.

We don't drink so just interested in the basic package. And then will order food/water from the menu.

 

Does anyone know if you get the basic package , how much extra it is to rent snorkel equipment ?
