coral land and coral sea excursion

can anyone give me any insight if this excursion is any good and your thoughts or should we just do something on our own and not an excursion?

Went on this excursion 2 years ago with a group of 11, ages 4 - 75 and everyone enjoyed it. The "sea" part is a boat that does not submerge, you walk down into the cabin which is all seats and glass, a diver feeds fish outside the boat so you get to see a lot of fish. The aquarium itself is really interesting, there's a shark pool, turtle pool, an underwater observatory, a touch pool and different buildings with large aquariums. We enjoyed the land part better than the sea part, but I would say worth the money.:)

visited this past January with three children and it was fantastic for the kids. without kids there are better things to do on St Thomas?

We did Coral World/Coki Beach on our own last week. It was easy to get a taxi from near the boat(s). Can't remember exactly how much it was, but the taxi driver gave us 2 $4 off coupons for Coral World, which was awesome. Keep in mind: if you need to use an ATM, the one at Coral World is apparently always out of money. We forgot to get cash at the pier and the one at Coral World was empty, so we had to get a taxi back to Red Hook (?) for a stupid cash machine before returning to Coral World. :rolleyes: With your admission band, you can come and go from Coral World to Coki Beach.
