Mariner Society

We have taken 12 cruises on Princess and are Platinum level in their Captain's Circle (Past-passenger) program. We will soon be Elite, which qualifies us for a free minibar, free laundry and dry cleaning, priority tender embarkation, and several other perks.

We are interested in HAL's itineraries and ship sizes, and would be interested in taking a HAL cruise in the near future. We have read about HAL's Mariner Society on HAL's website, and are a bit confused. Could someone briefly explain the various levels and what perks they come with? Does HAL have a level with similar perks to Princess' Elite Captain's Circle level?

Any insight would be appreciated.

On HAL everybody is a Mariner from the 2nd cruise onward, and the only real perk is a small discount on many (but not all) cruises. After 25, 50, 100, etc days you get different colored pins and or medallions.

However, there are rumors that HAL will introduce some real perks this autumn.
