does the Freedom have a candy store/shop on board? My wife thought she read this or saw a picture and now we can not find any information. we leave 3/29 and she is a candy nut and will pack less if there is a shop?

In one of the shop, it sells candies and sundries, etc. The selection is limited of course but it is kind of like your corner store.

When you are in port, there is of course endless candies and snacks.

I would suggest not to bother packing too much candies. They are really readily availabel everywhere you go.

We just got back from this ship. They also had a Chocolate Buffet that had all kinds of candy, chocolate fudge, all kinds of chocolate deserts. In one of the gift shops, they also had candy plus where they rent tuxedos. You will have a Great time. Supper club was Great. Dana is so nice in the Casino. She is the Casino Host. Best one I have ever had. Tell her Esther said she was the Best Casino Host she ever had. You will love her. It was our first suite on the 7th floor. Loved the Jacuzzi Tub. It was so nice. Do this ship again but not on Eastern . We have done this one 8 or 9 times. Need to go somewhere different. Southern is nice too. Have A Great time. Loved Miami too.

Glad you had a great time on the Freedom. We are going on the transatlantic in less about 40 days. I am just getting excited now.

A couple of questions:

How are the food? Which dining room do you prefer? We will like to get a table for two, are there many available?

Are there afternoon tea? My mate is British and love afternoon tea.

Are there trivia games? One of our favorite activities.

We just got off the Freedom on Saturday, and I still feel like I am on the ship, espically when I am lying down. This ship is BEAUTIFUL, we went W. Carrib. Our CD John Heald, on the second day got Bells Paulsey, he really had a tough time talking, but he stayed with us the whole cruise, he even made jokes about himself, he was a great CD.

Yes, there are tables for two in the two main dining rooms, we ate dinner in the Chic Dinning room, the food was very good, and they added lots od different choices. Yes there are lots of trivia games, we enjoy playing them also, we even won a gold plated ship on a stick. I am not sure about the afternoon tea, but I think the Freedom does have them. Have fun. I wish I did a Back to Back cruise on this ship.

Thank you so much for the response, WHEN AND WHERE was the Chocolate Buffet? that sounds good and we have already made reservations for the Supper Club on one of the sea days, that way we won't be rushing back from anywhere and be able to relax getting ready for the dinner and enjoy it.

Did the exact same cruise as you in 2006 [mine, on the Liberty]. Tea/'"finger sandwiches" [cucumber, and such] at 3:30pm on most "sea days". Took place in one of the dining rooms. Violinist/classical trio played as we sipped tea

We had dinner in the Posh Dining Room. For Breakfast, we ate at the other one ...It was way at end ( I believe) It was great. So pretty watching the water. Food was even good for breakfast in there. The chocolate buffet was on the Lido Deck. We heard an announcement saying it was on the Lido Deck. We went up there. It looked really pretty. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat much. My husband and our friends ate enough for me. Just found out week before the cruise, I had Celiac Sprue. I had a piece of fudge with nuts. So good. I did start my new diet a week ago with Gluten Free. You will love the ship. Casino is really nice. Had a great time there. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We were on the 7th floor with a Jr Suite. No movement at all. I loved it ! It was our favorite cruise. Can't wait for our next one.

Yes. I am on the TransAtlantic. I am getting excited now as it is coming closed a month and a week. We are Princess loyalist trying Carnival for the first time. The TransAtlantic is exciting to us. We think it is homage to travel in the good old days.
