international pier -walking distance?

been to cozumel before, don't want to go far from ship. any shops or restaurants within walking distance of pier?

I know that they have built up around the international pier. There are at least some shops.

 

It's about 2 miles to the main area of San Miguel and taxis are plentiful if you decide that there's not enough in the immediate area.

However, I'm pretty sure that you'll find a lot in the pier area. International docks several ships at a time, I believe. You can bet that someone has built shops, restaurants, etc. in the area.

There are shops and half a sr frogs, not sure why you wouldnt go downtown, it offers better shopping, food etc.
