Plastic zip ties

If anything, TSA or other type locks tell anyone interested that you have things that you want to protect. Like a flashing light! Many travelers have had their locks disappear from non-TSA sources (more bolt cutters). Or, a box cutter can have a fabric bag open in a flash with no damage at all to the lock (why bother with the zipper).

Zip ties, IMO will keep your bags closed without undue attention, discourage the occasional pilferer and let the TSA in without any trouble.

As mentioned, the fingernail clipper will make the tie go away when you are ready.

The old adage is still true..."Locks are for honest people". :)

TSA locks, zip ties........won't prevent this:

I definitely won't pack valuables in checked luggage!

Cool video...it well illustrates the non-value of investing in major security devices to deter theft.

Was that a ball point pen?
