Farewell Empress of the seas !

Recommended Posts

Empress was our first cruise on RCCL in September, 2004. We enjoyed the cruise as well as the service we received while on board. The reason we never cruised on her again was the size of the staterooms which was kind of tight for our tastes. Regardless, she was a great little ship and will be missed by many. Enjoy the Majesty and Monarch while we still have them because in a couple of years they will be gone also.

I will be the first to say that I am a RC cheerleader but its sad to see Empress leave, even though I never got to cruise on her, ships like this and soon the Sov class will become a thing of the past as the larger Freedom and Genesis type ships (which I love) become the norm

Nordic Empress was our first cruise. It left from NYC. We had a fantastic time and have cruised each summer since. We did the 7 day Bermuda run. I wish they would bring that back. It was a great itinerary. We had a balcony cabin and I had to laugh when they turned that into their JS a few years later .
