Last minute cruising - how to do it?

I am on the Valor this Sunday and a friend of mine said she'd be very spontaneous and join if she could find availability. Anyone have experience with getting last minute rooms? I have tried carnival and they said the Valor is currently sold out but things may open up. I wonder when is too late?

We'll be getting on the Valor when you are getting off. We'll wave at you! :D

Have you tried an online TA site? Or a TA from your local area? If neither of those options works, then I'd just keep calling Carnival to check. Do you have a PVP or did you just call the Carnival main number? If you have a PVP, let him/her know you want to be informed if something opens up.

Good luck, enjoy the Valor!! :D

I dont know that it was "last minute", but we got a 4 day on the Fascination back in 2006 for $159 per person. We booked at the 4 day-to-go mark, and found it on Carnivals website in the Specials section. It was one of our favorite cruises!
