Grand Cayman ~ rebuilding

According to the Storm Carib website, Grand Cayman is coming along. Seven Mile beach is back to normal. Of course, the island still has a long way to go. Anyone know about Abanks?

According to a website I visited earlier tonight, Seven Mile Beach area still has no water or electricity. (http://www.beachcomber1.com, we stayed there last month) Also, check this site for recent pictures of the damage. http://www.davidwolfephotography.com/Stk/Ivan/index_13.htm

I still don't see cruise ships making stops there in the next couple months myself but geez I have been wrong before! ;-D I feel for all of you who had stops there in the coming months. It's a beautiful island. If you don't get there now, plan to go another time, you won't be sorry.

According to this link provided on the RCCL board earlier today the state of emergency will end in Grand Cayman on Monday and "tourism industry infrastructure is expected to be ready to reopen by November 15."
