intotheoh Posted March 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2008 Seriously considering booking the 2009 Western w/ 2 stops at CC but can't find the itinerary. What stop is skipped? Anyone know? My guess is Key West
Magic3forme Posted March 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2008 The Western cruise includes Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and CC. The 2 stops at CC includes 2 ports in Mexico-- Costa Maya and Cozumel. So actually you miss 2 different spots. Sat depart Sun CC Mon Sea Tues Costa Ma Wd Coz Thur sea Fri CC Sat home. We have this cruise scheduled in Sept! cant wait. :)
intotheoh Posted March 16, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2008 Not sure we're talking about the same thing. This cruise is bookable on DCL website as a special cruise and only occurs once in Nov 2009
Magic3forme Posted March 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2008 This cruise is offered a few times in 08, but it is all ready sold out. :) if you go on Disneys website..look up ports of call, under special ports and click on costa maya, it will show the same schedule I listed, with the 2 stops at CC. intotheoh Posted March 16, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted March 16, 2008 Ok, I see that Costa Maya special cruise in 08. I think this is something different. If you go to the website and click on the drop down list of cruises like youre ready to book it lists both the costa maya cruise AND a western cruise w/ 2 castaway cay stops. My question is, what stop is skipped? Key West? Also - if I book through Alaskaair.com will I still get to enjoy the Castaway club benefits? This is my second cruise with Disney. Epperbiker Posted March 19, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2008 The Double Dip (2 stops at Castaway Cay) Western is the same, whether in 2008 or 2009. And we'll be on one of them in September 2008!!!:)

intotheoh Posted March 19, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted March 19, 2008 OK - I'M NOT CRAZY:eek: I just broke down and called DCL becuase I didn't see the cruise Im referencing online anymore and I am correct so I thought I'd share this information with all of you. Disney is offering a single sailing of a double dip Castaway Cay Western in 2009 with stops in: Castaway Cay Grand Cayman Cozumel Castaway Cay The sail date is Nov. 14, 2009 and this itinerary only occurs once. It does not include a stop in Costa Maya. The pricing as it stands right now is substantially cheaper than any Costa Maya sailing. Book Early. Book Often! The 2009 date would of course be cheaper than any Costa Maya (2008) Double Dip because prices are lowest when the rates are first released. So did you book it?
