ocho514 Posted March 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2008 I have a small problem:( , I bought a formal dress this past weekend to wear on my cruise, but it has a barely visible lipstick smudge on the front. I don't know if anyone else would even notice it but I can, I guess because I know it is there. I saw it before I purchased the dress but it was the only one left in my size and I got it on sale. Any suggestions would be appreciated:confused: Thanks in advance
Happy ks Posted March 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Take it to a reputable cleaners and have them get it out for you. Don't try to do it yourself.

Houndmom Posted March 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Madame Paulettes stain removal kits are magic. http://madamepaulette.com/ Wow, that is really good to know! I have the most gorgeous formal gown, and on a cruise a while back I got a food stain on it. Lots of the dry cleaners around here don't do formal wear, especially beaded dresses. The ones that do charge an arm and a leg. I will definitely give this a try! :)
desperatehousewife Posted March 17, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2008 My dry cleaner lady told me that a dab of hydrogen peroxide will work on a cotton ball/Qtip when I can't get stains out . It has always worked for me.;) Just a tiny bit at a time. karen sharpe Posted March 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2008 I never leave home without my Tide To Go stick!http://www.tide.com/en_US/tidetogo/site_howtouse.jsp But if fabric is silk or a fine fabric I agree with Happy KS take it to a professional.
