Gecko7 Posted March 17, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Thanks, I was checking out the WEB cam and didn't see it there. bonstersd Posted March 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2008 I don't know why she's late... she should be coming into view soon...it usually takes about 45 minutes from where I saw her until she docks.
cathyz Posted March 17, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Maybe she had to go slower than normal, the sea looks pretty rough out there today : http://www.oceanweather.com/data/

Gecko7 Posted March 18, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I'm still curious too. I saw a carrier leaving on the web cam and I wonder if that may have caused them to be late in. Gecko7:confused:

Gecko7:confused: I doubt a carrier leaving would do that...I see all the navy ships come in and out of port every day. I was thinking maybe it was going against a really strong current... faeriechick Posted March 18, 2008 #10 Share Posted March 18, 2008 They were late due to a late medical debarkation on Saturday and unfavorable weather, per my sources.

KYradioRX Posted March 19, 2008 #12 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Hi All We were on the Elation arriving late on the 17th. There was a medical emergency that occured about 2 hrs after leaving Cabo. We had to turn around and drop off a crew member who either got really sick or was seriously injured. We really didn't know what happened and didn't hear anything from the crew members that we talked to. The weather was also pretty rough coming back to San Diego. We had some pretty big swells that made the ride back a bit bumpy. The last thing that slowed our arrival was that we had to wait about 30 minutes for the USS Ronald Reagan to leave the harbor before they allowed us to proceed. I think we got to the dock around 1030 or 1045 and we were off the ship by 1145. KY
