Freedom ports of call Beach question

There are 11 in our group and we will be on the Freedom in a few weeks. We were wondering if it is cheaper to do the beaches on your own instead of booking with the ship? We will be in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios.

We are definitly doing the falls in Jamaica but I believe Carnival has a beach club excursion in conjunction with it. Any suggestions on Beaches in those places? When you figure cab, pay to get into the beach, pay for a lounge chair--I think it might be cheaper to go with the ship.

If you can book the excursions on your own they're pretty much always cheaper. The downside is that if your excursion is late getting back you may get to enjoy the unique view of the Freedom sailing away without you.

Booking the excursion through the ship nearly guarantees that they will wait if your excursion is delayed returning...
