cruisemama5 Posted March 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Hi my husband and I are sailing on the Pride in April. This is our first time with Carnival. We have sailed with HAL, RCL, NCL, and Celebrity in the past. I am wondering what anyone can tell me about the inside cabins. We don't know where we will be until we get there as we booked online and I guess that is the way it is done that way. Is there a hairdryer in the room? I doubt this, but is there a fridge? Also, any info on the excursions that are good at the ports (PV. Cabo, & Mazatlan). What about any special things about the ship to watch for. I know there is a formal night. What about a midnight buffet or chocolate bar? Thanks in advance for any info!;)

louiesowner Posted March 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2008 There is a hairdryer and a fridge in the cabin. There is also a midnight buffett... we took pictures but never ate... too full still from dinner. We loved the Pride. My hubbie ordered Lemonade at dinner time every night. No charge for Lemonade and fruit punch at the buffett area and drink areas. It is what convinced me to go Carnival again next year. ohh... and the soft serve ice cream available 24 hours a day... sigh... it was a great cruise... sigh... They have hairdryers and mini bars which could be used as a fridge, but they aren't that cold. There are 2 formal nights on a 7 day cruise. There was 1 official midnight buffet, but there was also a mexican buffet one night when they had the deck party. I don't remember seeing a Chocolate buffet, but I've seen them on other Carnival ships so would imagine the Pride also has one. It's a great ship. Wennfred Posted March 19, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Is there a hairdryer in the room? I doubt this, but is there a fridge? Also, any info on the excursions that are good at the ports (PV. Cabo, & Mazatlan). In P.V. swim with the dolphins in the morning and at night to go Las Caletas and see Rhythms of the Night show. Click on this link then click on Video. This show comes with a great dinner. http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/rhythms/index.html In Mazatlan you can hire Mazatlan Frank for a nice tour or go ride some horses on the beach with Randi's Happy Horses: http://www.mazatlan-frank.com/CITYeng.html and http://www.randishappyhorses.com/ In Cabo just go and lay out on the beach, take a water taxi to the Mango Deck. There are many water sports you can do there including Parasailing and Jet Sking etc. The food and drinks are great at the Mango Deck, also about 100 yards from the Mango Deck there is a very nice Hotel and Resort called La Melia, very nice pools to use there. http://www.solmelia.com/solNew/hoteles/jsp/C_Hotel_Gallery.jsp?codigoHotel=5833 Below I inserted some links of threads with pictures, enjoy.
