What about renting a car? Where to park? How much?

I am thinking about renting a jeep next Monday while in Cozumel. The price is $50 before taxes and it seems like a good idea. I was wondering if there is parking available at the beaches, such as Paradise Beach or the like? Is there usually a charge to park? Also, any ideas on where to take the jeep other than the the beach? Maybe see some ruins? I appreciate any suggestions.

I am wanting to do the same in November and after some research decided to heed some advice on these boards to rent the Jeep here in the states before I leave and to also take the insurance. As far as parking charges, I have not seen any reference to those in the many reviews I've read. There's a great interactive map of beaches with ruins shown too at http://cozumelmexico.net/Cozumel-Beaches.html. I'm planning on doing beach hopping. We went through Cozumelinsider.com to rent a Chevy Sun. When we got there it was a Jeep (was not charged a higher price). Cozumelinsider used Avis.

We drove around the island stopping at preselected beaches...Had a GREAT time! There was never a charge for parking at the beaches.
