mainer208 Posted March 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2008 Check out reviews on tripadvisor.com - we stayed at the Richmond Hotel which is right beside the Marselles. Great place for breakfast in the morning. The hotel is right on the beach and within a block or so to Lincoln Road (restaurants, shopping, etc.). Remember, SB hotels are older and the rooms probably are smaller than what you would expect at a newer hotel. The location is perfect and the beach is right out your hotel's back door! RoadTripFanatic Posted March 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2008 We stayed there last Oct. It was fine. The bathroom was rather old and small but it was clean. Our room was just fine. I will warn you the walls are thin. We had some noisy neighbors who showed up at 2a.m. UGH! Other than that it worked out very nice for a one night stay before the cruise. The front desk was very helpful. There are lots of good restaurants with in walking distance. There is also a CVS drug store just down the block. That worked out great for buying soda and emergency make up brushes before we left for our cruise. Make sure you get the passcode off of the information in the room before you leave for the beach. The gate has a lock and code on it to re-enter the property. It will save you a lot of steps. :)
