What exactly is included with day pass?

Hello all! Forgive me if this has already been discussed. We are going to be in Nassau in April off of Carnival Sensation and we have read alot about booking rooms at Atlantis or Comfort Suites. My question is, what exactly is included with the passes they give you?

We are two 21-year-olds and although we wouldn't mind it, we don't really have to go to the water park. We live in Orlando, FL and there are more than enough here. We do want to see the Aquarium (is the Digs the same thing?) and I read that you can get in free after 5pm. We want to shop and maybe check out the casino, and then possibly visit the beach.

How much is it if you don't have a pass and want to go to one of the beaches?

Booking the room makes it sound really cheap for everything but we also want time to do a walking tour of our own. We are in Nassau from 7am to 6am the next day. Our plans are to do a little tour, go to Atlantis and look around, maybe lay on the beach for a little bit, go to the aquarium that evening?, and then go get some drinks at Senor Frogs. We can crawl back to the boat late that night.

So basically I am wondering what else would be included if I did decide to book a room?

Thanks for everything!

Shane and Kaleigh

Last year when we sailed on the NCL Sprit my DD(age 17) and myself did the walking tour..you can find it on this forum..the directions are very good..we did the Queens Stairs and went through the gov't center where we got a tour of the senate and met with a real cool judge..we walked about the town center aNd then went over to the beach..we did all of this and still left by 5 or 6PM..so you can do it all...susan.PS..I just booked the Comfort Suites for $179 for the four of us so we can use the Altlantis property..haven't been there yet!

Thanks for the reply! I am wondering if we would have time to do a quick walking tour and see some of the sights, then go to Atlantis for a couple of hours. I really only want to see the aquarium and maybe check out the casino and shops.

Still wondering what all the day passes for Atlantis cover?? :D

When we were at the Atlantis, we bought a ticket for the Dig ( that is the Aquarium ), at the time it was 32$ ea. You walk through the Aquarium with a guide and he tells you different things and feeds some of the fish there, then you are free to roam around the area and I think use the beach, we didn't. We enjoyed walking around and stopping to get a drink or two, walked on the beach, I think the pools are off limits. After the Dig, we went to the Casino and it was good to me. I think  I heard that if you rent a room outside the Atlantis( I am not sure if it is any hotel ), you are able to use their pool and water toys, the beach and anything their guest use. I am sure someone will be able to answer you.

Have a great Cruise

Shane, IMO the aquarium would be a huge disappointment if you spent $32 per person to see them. The Digs and the Aquarium are one and the same. It's kind of an underground tunnel that leads to various views of the one large aquarium tank plus many small aquariums. As described, the paid-for tour has a guide and he or she explains everything. If you go after dark when the guard has left the entrance then you can wander through the tunnel on your own and look at the same aquariums on your own. For FREE it's a nice enjoyable setup. For $32 it's a huge ripoff, again, IMO. Buying the tour does not get you access to the swimming pools or slides, etc. For that you'd have to book a room at Atlantis or the Comfort Suites across the street. Don't do it; you've got all the waterparks in Orlando to enjoy for less money. Go to Aquatica.
