Adult Only Areas?

We were on the Explorer. I don't know if there were any areas officially off-limits to kids, but we were not bothered by children as we pursued our week-without-our-kids vacation. I think in general there are areas of the ship that are much more appealing to youngsters than the bars. In the dining room the kids we noticed were well-dressed and well-behaved. In the Windjammer, it was obviously more casual, but again, the children who were there didn't disturb us at all.
There was some entertainment that the line specifically stated would contain material not appropriate for children, and I don't recall seeing kids there.

I have a pretty strong ability to tune other people's kids out, unless they are really unruly or inappropriate, but the family-friendly aspects of RCCL did not at all diminish our fun as a middle-aged couple cruising without kids.

I have never seen small children in the casino. Every time children are brought in, they are asked to remove the children. No one under 18. You can enjoy the solarium and the spa area without children. The only time you will notice the children is at the pool outside.

Go and enjoy your cruising experience :)

Last cruise we had 2 young boys, about 12 years old, sitting next to us playing slots with no parents in site. When they didn't win anything they would hit the machine. Finally after 20 minutes of this security came over and kicked them out. But, I think they only got noticed because they were making so much noise.
