Hawaii --- Car Rentals

Will be cruising on the Infinity in December to Hawaii and want to rent a car at each port..Is it best to reserve and where would one pick up the rental (I.e. port dock, local airport, in town?) Thanks for your help...

Yes, reserve ahead-you can always cancel but it is often hard to find a car if you wait until the ship docks and everyone runs ashore. Reserve online for the best rates and use any discounts you are qualified to use-AARP, AAA, Costco etc. Most car rental companies know when the big ships dock at each port and have vans waiting for those with reservations (another reason to reserve ahead). Most cell phones work in Hawaii and you can call the local car rental number for a van pickup if necessary.

If you really want to splurge... you can rent a Ferrari on a couple of the islands. They are pricey, but much fun!
