Ripper4 Posted March 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2008 What odds to they offer (2x, 5x, etc...) on the craps table at "Czar's Palace" on the Liberty? Are the table games usually crowded? Do they have $5.00 minimum tables or are they getting to be like the strip and only $15-$25 minimums? Thanks
aainsjen Posted March 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2008 I was on the Liberty In January. The casino is busiest right after dinner. The tables were always 5, they did high a couple higher tables but no one ever played them. As far as craps go, I dont play so I have no idea. People did well on the slots, we did! Roulette has $1. minimums with the first night being .50 cents balck jack is 3.00 during the day- never paid much attention at night to those tables. Crap tables at night at very crowded-especially later in the evening.
gailc Posted March 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2008 Do the slot machines use Tickets? Do they have penney & nickel slots? Gail
serene56 Posted March 28, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2008 Do the slot machines use Tickets? Do they have penney & nickel slots? Gail yep yep and yep. Most of the machines you can change the denomination-- so be careful when making that first bet. You can eithr take a ticket or put it on your sign and sail card.. Which is what we do. You just set up the machine- it will give you directions on how to do it.. remember your 4 digit code and you are on your way. Just remember to cash out that card at the casino cage on the last sea day

gailc Posted March 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 29, 2008 So glad it has the tickets. So much easier than getting coins. Now we just have to decide if we're going to go on a cruise this Summer on Carnival Liberty. Gail

Gail Some machines still pay in coins. :D Printing a ticket just isn't the same as hearing those coins drop.
gailc Posted March 29, 2008 #9 Share Posted March 29, 2008 I agree with you, but we like to be able to cash out & get the ticket. Then we can just go to another machine. Gail
coachj Posted March 29, 2008 #10 Share Posted March 29, 2008 The crap table (there is only one on all the ships I have been on with carnival. 8 at last count,) has a $5 minimum on all nights except the first night where minimums are only $3. All ships have double odds. It are most crowded between shows and after 11pm. Good luck.

Gail Your going to love having it on your sail and sign card then. It is the most convenient thing ever! Like Serene said, just remember to cash out your card on the last night. serene56 Posted March 29, 2008 #12 Share Posted March 29, 2008 I agree with you, but we like to be able to cash out & get the ticket. Then we can just go to another machine. Gail you can do the same using your sign and sail card. Say you put in the first machine 10.bucks but won a few hundred dollars.. for those hundred dollars on your sign and sail card-- go to the next machine. and take off only 10.00 more leaving the hundred or so dollars on the card. By having the paper going from machine to machine the chances of you playing it all back in is hiigher. with the sign and sail card you have better control over how much you put in
kkdleon Posted March 30, 2008 #13 Share Posted March 30, 2008 I thought I read on another post something about a 3% fee for using S&S. Is that for taking cash out on it, or for using is in the machines?
serene56 Posted March 30, 2008 #14 Share Posted March 30, 2008 I thought I read on another post something about a 3% fee for using S&S. Is that for taking cash out on it, or for using is in the machines? its a 5% charge if you take your sign and sil card to the cashiers cage and request $ from your sign and sail account. It is free if you are taking your casino winnings. or if you use our sign and sail card at the machine to cash out your sign and sail card- What you are paying the 5% charge is for the person to do the required paperwork to take your cash off your account. Save the $$ and get the money through the slot machines. Keep the money on the card then take the card to the cashiers cage. (its a different process)
Ripper4 Posted April 23, 2008 Author #15 Share Posted April 23, 2008 Just off of the Liberty. Craps table offers 2x odds only. Table games were $3.00 minimum first night $5.00 minimum after (except the night that they had Black Jack lessons then it was $3.00 again) "Let-it-Ride" table does have the 3-card bonus bet which pays the same as the "pairs plus" bet in 3-card poker on the first three cards in your hand. Table maximums were low ($25-$100) but that really didn't affect me. Slots....well, for the first time in my life I won money on the slots, even though everyone tells me that they are tight on ships. Didn't play a lot, but won $500 or so on a dollar "wheel of fortune" machine. All in all I was about $600 ahead in the casino on this cruise (which when you factor that I planned to spend/lose about $1k it really means I was $1,600 ahead!) Helped to pay down the sail&sign account!
