Artic Cruisetour Hotel ?

We are going on Princess's Artic cruisetour 17N to Prudoe Bay and Coldfoot.

Do they have any double beds or larger in the hotels. I know that they are very basic but they have private bathrooms. We will be on our honeymoon and don't want to be stuck in a twin bed.

Thanks

Unless they changed them out this winter (which I seriously doubt), they are twin beds. And they are not really hotels in the common sense of the word. They are modular trailers-used by the workers for the construction of the pipeline and used every winter by the construction workers/technicians who work in Prudhoe/Coldfoot all winter. Usually very clean-shower only in the baths- 13" BW TV. Buffet at Prudhoe is VERY good but pricey. Plan on $65.00 per day per person for food for very basic meals. The is NO booze at Prudhoe or Coldfoot, so if you want a drink, you must take your own.

As greatam posted, the beds are twin at both Prudhoe & Coldfoot. While this will be your honeymoon, it is only 2 nights of the trip (out of 14+ days total) and would not be a deal-breaker to me. I did this trip in 1999 and would do it again in a heartbeat -- it is spectacular! The accomodations at these 2 locations are very basic, but clean & adequate considering the remote area you are visiting. And, the trip is somewhat tiring (long days in the bus) and you'll likely crash by the time you settle in for the night. Don't let these 2 nights in twin beds be too much of a worry. This is an incredible trip! :D
