miracle room 4204 and checking availability

Has anyone stayed in room 4204 on the miracle??? Does the life boat in the room next door block your view????

How do you check the availability of rooms??? I am not really happy with this room and would like to keep an eye out for a better room.

How do you determine what the color codes mean on the deck plans on the carnival web page???

Thanks

Rudgie

We were in 4208 (two cabins down) on the Legend last October. I think you will be happy with this cabin. The view is not blocked by the life boat. It is far enough forward of your cabin that it won't affect your view. The cabin is not very far from the aft elevators & stairs. Only two decks down to the dining room and Promenade Deck. It is also very quiet with very little foot traffic in this area.

Click on the cabin numbers/colors and the type of stateroom will appear.

Your cabin is an 8a. Did you pick the cabin or is that what the agent gave you?

The life boat will not be in your way. It will be for the cabin next to you- which is a 7A. (it will be listed as an obstructed balcony)

to see some of whats available go to any online agency and make believe you are buying a cruise for that week. (it looks like you are buying for 4 people) make sure youplug in 4 people as all cabins dont hold 4. (some will hold 3 some will only hold 2) you will only see 7-9 cabins available in any category-doesnt mean there isnt more left.

Is this a holiday sailing?? coz I dont see any cabins left--only gauarantee.

Is that obstructed balcony actually bad? Has anyone seen them or been in them? We have a 7a booked, but were told it wasn't all that bad, that you could see out, just not straight down. Anyone know?

Serene56 was not correct. The cabins on the Main Deck (Deck 4) with the obstructed views are Cat 5A. The Cat 7A cabins with the obstructed balconies are on the Upper Deck (Deck 5). The Cat 5A cabins have French Doors that open but do not have a balcony. You can see the water but mostly the lifeboat. They are not a bad value. The Cat 7A cabins have a standard balcony and a much better view but you will see part of the lifeboat. These are also not a bad value.
