Mexican Rodeo Excursion by Carnival

Has anyone ever done the Mexican Rodeo/Merida City tour offered by Carnival? We are considering going on the Elation in March, 2005. I think both my kids would like it, but I would like to hear first-hand if it was worth it. Thanks!

And you were almost right. This board is nearly as dead as the Costa Cruiseline board...sheesh.

Anyhow, I've been on Carnival's Dzibilchaltun/Mexican Rodeo excursion, so I can speak for the rodeo part of the question. I took my 21 YO son and my 5 YO son last March and they both loved it. I found it to be waaay cool myself (at 43). I think it is a fabulous idea and would certainly consider it if I were you. :)

I have been on the rodeo tour too and I really enjoyed it. The food was very good and the rodeo was great. They had a woman who sang with a beautiful voice and the rodeo tricks were impressive. I would definitely recommend it for kids.

How was the trip to the ruins? Also, what kind of food did they offer at the rodeo? Were there clean restrooms, etc. Was the bus airconditioned, etc.? How much was the tour through Carnival? Thanks!
