I've just learned that Captain John Brocklehurst is leaving Island Cruises to join Voyages Of Discovery. He has been a great asset to the Island Star, excellent with the passengers and quite nifty at the deck party dancing! ...

That's a shame for Island Star....:( He definitely is very much a "hands on" captain.....joining in different activities and always to be seen around with a smile on his face. Island Star's loss is Voyages of Discovery's gain.

We have just returned from our 1st cruise, abroad Island Star where John was the captain. Have to admit that he certainly was down to earth, and very approachable.
