mdcruzer Posted April 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Does anyone have any info or pictures of the AOS Adventure Beach area. My family and two DD's (5 & 3) will be on AOS beginning 4/5/2009... Looking for another option instead of Adventure Ocean...just in case. Thanks

boulders Posted April 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2008 We just got off AOS. Adventure Beach is only open for a short time each day. On port days, it was open 3-5 p.m. On sea days, it was open for a little longer - I think it was 12-3 p.m. It looked like a lot of fun. It was a little too youngish for my 9 and 12 year olds, but looked about perfect for a 3 and 5 year old.
mdcruzer Posted April 3, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Boulder and CruisinMama06, Didn't realize Adventure Beach had a water slide. 5yr old DD will love that! As for the hours, the sea day hours (12 -3pm) are great because afterward they can take a nap before dinner. For port days, we'll try to go to the beach in the morning then put them down for a nap after lunch. Just have to flip a coin to see who will babysit during naptime. Me, DW or grandma (we're paying for her cruise so we could have some quiet time for our 10th anniversary). I think that only applies after dinner so we can enjoy a few shows... :-) !! crusinmama06 Posted April 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2008 How old do kids have to be for Adventure Ocean? As long as the child is potty trained, I don't think there is an actual age minimum. I don't know the height requirement for the slide though. boulders, did you notice a height requirement?
boulders Posted April 4, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2008 For Adventure Ocean, the child has to be 3 (and potty trained). For Adventure Beach, there is no minimum age- just potty trained. At Adventure Beach, there are two waterslides, one tube-like. It did have a minimum height - 48 inches, but it wasn't enforced. I saw a little one - had to be about 40 inches -going down. A crew member was monitoring the slide closely. The other slide is like a regular slide and did not have a height restriction.
